P90X vs. Insanity

The DVD workout war is on! I picked #17 on the list when the latest workout craze was P90X. An extreme muscle confusion program that promises great results in only 90 days. It was sweeping fire departments in northern California and seemed like everyone was trying it.

Then comes along “Insanity” an extreme cardio workout program that promises great results in just 60 days. It is the newest workout taking area fire departments by storm. It’s claim is that by maintaining maximum cardio throughout the entire workout will mold your body into a lean mean muscle machine.

So here is my dilemma…

I am pondering whether or not to switch the list item from P90X to Insanity or not??

I have decided to leave it up to my few readers. This is my first poll, so it’s a work in progress. Most votes at Sunday at midnight wins.

Let me know!

I would say go with the original P90x, however it depends on what your true goal is. Is it gain more muscle or just to become more fit?

It depends on your personal goal!!! If you want to lose weight gain muscle then P90X!!! If you want to lose more of the weight and just cut-up, then Insanity.

It depends on you goal. If you want a well rounded program that includes weight training, then P90X is your flavor. If you want extreme cardio conditioning then Insanity is tops.

By sheer coincidence, I wrote an article on my recent completion of both programs. Sorry if that sounds like a plug!
